Serving Our Community

New Harvest has a dedicated Servanthood Ministry Team that plans and heads up outreach projects for the entire church to get involved in. Our Pastor of Servanthood, Don Schiewer, guides the team in its various functions.

The Food & Clothing Pantry

Food & Clothing Pantry

Our Church’s Food & Clothing Pantry serves those in need throughout Oregon and Lucas county. We will distribute food and clothes weekly Monday through Thursday from 10am-2pm. Volunteers are needed to continue ministering to those within our community. Please consider joining us! Contact Pastor Don if you are interested in contributing your time or resources for things like donating food/clothes, stocking shelves, handing out food, sorting and organizing clothes, general clean-up, etc.

“Food for Thought” Ministry

Project Lunches:

Everyone is invited to participate in this ministry, either by helping pack and distribute the lunches in downtown Toledo, or donating needed items, such as individual bags of chips, juice boxes, cookies, etc.  You can join us Friday nights at 6:00 p.m. in Davis Hall to pack the lunches, and Saturday morning for distribution.

Project Backpacks:

Our downtown street teams will continue to distribute backpacks to people in need in downtown Toledo on Saturdays, throughout the winter.  The most urgent needs are winter hats, gloves, scarves and blankets.  Other needed items, such as socks, brushes, combs, tooth brushes, and umbrellas are also included.

All donations can be dropped off in the church office, Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., or Friday at 6:00 p.m.
